CAST BIOS:

CHRIS BURNS as DRAKE CRISPEN

An Atlanta Actor best known for his recent slew of national commercials for Comcast and regional commercials for the Georgia Lottery. He takes a slightly serious turn in Stragglers while keeping a comic edge.

Chris has acted in four previous PlatoVision Producions; Witch Hunters Extraordinaire as the bumbling Witch Hunter Wilfred Montgomery, Invisible Kitchen as the naive chef Raphael, The Finial Play as the method actor Randal, and in Exclusive as an inept thug.

He has recently acted in many Atlanta based features including; Chosen, the Other Side and the Last Goodbye.

CHERI CHRISTIAN as VALERIE

After graduating from the University of Georgia with a BA in Theatre Performance, Cheri has spent the last 5 years working as a professional actress out of Atlanta, GA. Cheri was lucky enough to gain experience working in some of Atlanta's most reputable theatre's such as, The Alliance Theatre Company, The Horizon, and Georgia Ensemble Theatre.

Most recently her focus has been drawn toward Film and TV. She alo appeared in over 15 radio and television commercials in the last two years.

Stragglers marks Cheri's fourth collaboration with PlatoVision. She starred in the "Witch Hunters Extraordinaire" as the witch Capsella, and as "detective McClusky" in PlatoVision's 2002 entry in the Atlanta 48 Hour Film Project, The Final Play, which won the best acting award for the cast and in the 2003 entry Exclusive.

MICHAEL D FRIEDMAN as BOOTH

Michael's first caught the acting bug with the play "The 22 Miseries of the Lives and Loves of the Heterosexual Buffoon Class." The showcase for playwright Rich Etchison was featured at the Discovery Playhouse in Decatur, GA in 2000.

From there, Michael earned small parts in several locally produced features and shorts, including Kat, Shaun & Oz, eDate, and the Getting series, produced by the Atlanta Screenwriters Group.

Michael first broke into a lead role with the mockumentary short, Boy@nt!, where he played a member of a fictitious boy band. The role required singing and dancing, but luckily bad singing and dancing, as he can do neither very well.

After hooking up with PlatoVision pictures Michael was added to the cast of the series "Witch Hunters Extraordinaire," playing two characters, Willie the Bum and the Russian Bee.

Michael also starred as the "play director" in PlatoVision's 2002 entry in the Atlanta 48 Hour Film Project, The Final Play, which won the best acting award for the cast. Michael also starred in the 2003 entry, Exclusive as a detective.

Stragglers marks the first lead feature role for Michael.

AMY HOLT as DR. ELAINE KRAUSS

After completing her degree in Theatre & Mass Communications from the University of Montevallo in Alabama, Amy worked for a number of theatres around the country performing in musicals and comedies.

Somewhere along the way, Amy decided it was time to find someplace to call home and explore new artistic avenues. That place was Atlanta, Georgia. Amy found a community of artists who have allowed her to continue working on stage, exploring more dramatic works.

Additionally, she began studying acting for the camera and has appeared in several commercials, industrials, and independent films.

Stragglers is Amy's first venture into the realm of horror/suspense films. She is a self described "chicken" and would not usually attend films of this genre because they "creep her out." But, Amy does admit that making this film was a great challenge and lots of fun.

JOEL HUNTER as DR. HAROLD BAINS

Joel has always aspired to be an actor. Taking his dream in his own hands, he started by taking acting classes at the Alliance Theater and other places around Atlanta; incluing private monologue coaching.

Stragglers is his first feature film but prior to that, Joel appeared in 2002 48 hour film festival in The Final Play as the mad "yo-yo killer" and in "Witch Hunters Extraordinaire" as the Weasely Reverend Falic. He has also worked for other Production Companies in Georgia including Southlan studios short Stranded and just finished appearing in the feature Chosen.

He has also appeared in stage productions of " It's a Wonderful Life," "The Odd Couple." and "Book of Days."

RON MCLELLEN as GRIFFIN

While most of Ron's work has been from behind the camera, directing such films as The Middle of Nowhere and Night of the Hungry Dead for his production company Southlan- Studios, Ron has started to branch into acting.

Stragglers marks Ron's first major feature role, but he's also made his mark in smaller roles, such as Bama in "Witch Hunters Extraordinaire" and the sheriff in his short film From Above.

Ron also co-starred with Dave R. Watkins in the short film The Unconcious Mind, where he played a German psychologist, Dr. Rutledge.

SPENCER G. STEPHENS as KEVIN

Spencer is a native of Kings Mountain, NC, where his unusual personality began to develop thanks to his laugh-a-minute family.

With degrees in accounting and finance, Spencer's acting bug started taking shape as an undergrad at North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC where he became a fixture in the theatre department.

After graduation and some time in corporate finance, he got his first paying acting job in 1997 and has been performing non-stop ever since.

In 1999, he moved to Atlanta to try out his acting chops in a larger theatre community and again he has been working non-stop in theatre, while adding film projects to his resume. He's now a full-time actor/singer/dancer/puppeteer in Atlanta and loving life.

Stragglers is his first feature film.

DAVE R. WATKINS as MARK LOCKE

Dave R. Watkins plays dual supporting roles in the series "Witch Hunters Extraordinaire" portraying the neurotic Chesterfield and the mysterious Walter Turnpike.

He has also acted in several plays put on by the Polk Street Players in Marietta, GA. Most recently as the bumbling "lawyer" in their Southeastern premiere of the production, "Getting and Spending."

Other credits include, The Unconscious Mind, The Middle of Nowhere, Night of the Hungry Dead, and "Stranded, for Southlan-Studios in Lula, GA. He also worked two years in a row on the 48-Hour Film Festival acting in the shorts, The Final Play, as the hilarious and belligerent Redneck Silas Wiggum, and this year in Exclusive, as the powerful and narcissistic businessman Malcolm Anderson.
